Charitable Trusts and learned some surprising things. For example, you can use them to save on taxes before you pass away, while still drawing income from your gift.
Everything I have read about Trusts of all varieties suggests that charitable trusts are a very wise estate-planning tool.
Of course the hardest part will be convincing my wife that this is the best choice. She’ll want to give it all to the kids, but frankly they’re going to get more than enough as it is.
I’m sure I’ll have more to say about this down the line.
