November 20, 2008 on 8:41 am | By admin | In Home :: Home Improvement

Making your own hanukkah candle cups is not as difficult as you might think.  These can be decorated as simply or as elaborately as you desire and can be done with little to no money at all if you have some simple craft supplies lying around your house.  All you need for this project is wood (perhaps leftover from a previous project), paint or stain and stickers, glitter or jewels.  Cut and drill nine small wooden blocks into the desired shapes and sizes of your menorah candles.  Once finished with the cutting, sand them down to avoid splinters.  You can then paint of stain these blocks in whatever color you desire, usually blue, white or silver for mimic the official Jewish colors of Israel.  Once the paint is dry, you can then leave it as is, or add as many embellishments as you desire.  The creativity is entirely up to you with these homemade Hanukkah candle cups.

October 1, 2008 on 7:41 am | By admin | In Home :: Decorations

You need to light different areas of your salon in different ways so as to avoid any monotony. The key for most of the salon interior design ideas is to combine the various types of lighting that can add a full light spectrum to the place. For example, you should primarily use natural light as it makes it easy to see the hair and the skin clearly. In other areas where some design elements or artworks have been used, accent lighting should be used to highlight them. If there is a treatment room, there should be some lighting sconces.

Learning About Cross Country Moving

September 26, 2008 on 9:40 pm | By admin | In Home

I just got a job in another state. It’s great job, but cross country moving is such a pain, and so expensive. I’m dreading having to deal with it.
So I’ve spent half the day digging around on the Internet researching Cheap Moving Companies for long distance moves. Seriously I’d rather reorganize my sock drawer. I don’t even want to think about it.
It will be worth it in the end, but I am hating life right now.
Watch this space.

Green home plans

September 19, 2008 on 10:40 pm | By admin | In Home

Green home plans will always look to include as many glass windows and doors as well as roof and wall skylights to allow natural lighting into the home. Skylights provide the green design benefits of reducing and avoiding moisture accumulation in a room while conserving energy consumption. This measure will need to be complemented by adding lots of ceiling and wall insulation. This is one of the best means of keeping a home energy efficient. Plan to use eco-friendly insulation materials. Always chose high performance windows and double or even triple pane windows, doors and skylights as they will help to conserve energy and keep ongoing costs down.

Considering Cross Country Moving

September 7, 2008 on 9:42 pm | By admin | In Home

I got an offer for a great job. The only trouble is it’s in Seattle, and I live in Jersey. I’m dreading having to deal with
cross country moving. So expensive, and such a hassle.
So now I have to spend hour after hour digging around for info on Wardrobe Moving Boxes, and I don’t even want to think about packing. Nightmare.
The new job will be worth it, but I’m exhausted and grumpy right now.
I’m sure I’ll have more to say about this down the line.
