Property tax administration is the responsibility of local government, where the authority of the department is limited to assisting local government units in making property tax assessments that are fair and in compliance with the law. Property tax is levied on homes on a municipal basis in two parts: for the one who lives in the house, and for the owner of the house, and when one has a rental home, they should only pay the living part of the tax. Assessed value is triple what it was, the levy was not affected, so tax rates were cut by two-thirds.
