Mother was against any new gadgets but it took me little time to persuade her to agree. She argued against buying one of the Cool Mist Humidifiers but when I reminded her of the dry skin, chapped lips, raking dry cough and sinus troubles we had had she readily fell in line with me. I explained to her that it would not consume but rather save electric bills. Water flows across a wick and throws out a vapor that brings down the room temperature. This helps breathing. There are many sizes of cool mist humidifiers - some circulate through the entire house while others are room sized. Maintenance is not much bother but filters have to be occasionally changed. Now we have had the unit installed for just two months she wouldn’t be without it.
