Career and Technical Education (CTE) and Vocational Education and Training are some of the terms used when referring to  adult career and vocational education . In contrast to college education, vocational education is very much focused towards a certain career path and has very little in terms of abstract or theoretical subjects. This allows vocational courses to be completed in a short span of time and lets them have a greater focus on practical knowledge related to certain career paths. There are now a very wide variety of highly compensated careers obtainable with this kind of education.
