Counseling psychology is a field that deals with the blending of psychological research and theory using therapy. It shows how we can use therapy to change or interpret the psychological processes occurring in somebody’s mind. The US is a good place to pursue a Masters in Counseling Psychology because of the sheer variety of schools that are offering post graduate programs. You will need to have already gained a certain amount of experience in this field and that is important in determining what to master in. There are different paths to choose from and you will would need to choose one that is closely related to your work area - be it with relationships or individuals.
